Snowman Slide in Lake Tahoe makes for fun sledding

What do you do when a winter storm approaches? Well for some clever residents of Lake Tahoe, Nevada they spent hours shoveling the snow and sculpting it to form what at first looks like a snowman, but that is really a self-contained figure-eight sledding hill.

This news clip is very impressive---kids have a ball sliding down the the back of the snowman and around a sharp hairpin turn before making their way through a tunnel carved out of the base of the snow man.

WGN's Pat Tomasulo Doesn't like Shirtless guys

WGN's morning sports reporter (or comedian) Pat Tomasulo doesn't really care for shirtless guys that run up & down the lake shore in Chicago. In a classic funny clip of Australian TV bliss, anchor Belinda Heggen mocks sports reporter Mark Aiston... After showing a sports clip of an athlete holding up a really small trophy, Mark says, "Belinda, I just don't understand how something so small can be so impressive."

To which Heggen responds, "well Mark, you would know about that."

Grammy Reporter Gets Tongue Tied

A cute blond reporter representing CBS 2, was busy working the 2011 Grammy awards when her brain malfunctions and she start speaking in tongues. For 10 seconds straight she says meaningless words that I can't even comprehend. I'm guessing that she may have been hired for looks instead of her brains---She's just making it way too easy for a multitude of dumb-blond jokes... At least she'll get her 15 minutes of internet video fame.

Recently, Jon Stewart on the Daily show did a story on Fort Wayne, Indiana... The local news story talks about it may become the butt of jokes from the city hosting an online voting competition to name a local government center. After 10,000 votes... the winning name is "The Harry Balls Government Center"... Harry was a local mayor in the 1930's and 1940's --- And at that time, the name wasn't as strange as what it is now.

Apparently city leaders don't like the name, and are leaning towards something else. However, there are plenty of supporters for the Harry Baals government center.

Carmen the anchor pitches the segment to the field reporter who shows off a "very sweet dog" a large fully grown rottweiler who was slobbery and apparently had several litters of puppies. Oh the dangers of live TV.
