Ian Mendes was reporting on the sidelines of the 2012 World Series in San Francisco when a baseball hits him (hard)in the shoulder. Mendes, grimaces, sucks it up, and keeps on talking as if nothing happened. (And the Giants went on to beat the Detroit Tigers that night.

Cockroach crawls over KNBC's Robert Kovacik

In L.A., NBC channel 4's Robert Kovacik was reporting live on the scene when a big cockroach crawled over his shoulders. Kovacik didn't even notice the bug scurrying, but if he had I'm guessing he'd swat the insect off of himself.

Anderson Cooper (CNN) reports on a Tennessee reporter who fell over while she was standing in a boat holding a 12 pound Asian Carp. Fortunately, the boat captain broke her fall. TV maker LG decided to prank elevator riders by placing a series of TV screens on the floor of an elevator, and as passengers ride up, the floor "breaks away" making passengers think that the elevator is falling apart.

A small great white shark got beached in Australia, and a guy/surfer grabs the shark by the tail and drags him back into the water.

Baby Elephant Stuck in a Hole Gets Rescued

In Kenya, a little baby elephant got stuck in small hole. Thy as she might, the mother elephant couldn't get her out. Some men in a truck tied a rope to the baby,and hauled her out before the baby ran back to her mom. As seen on NBC evening news.

This video just popped on my local news, a girl sticks her head out of a train window while a buddy films, and nearly gets her head ripped off by a train going in the other direction. The near miss stuns the girl and shows her falling to the floor (safely) inside the train. Kids, don't be this stupid

LNG Tanker in China explodes on a highway

A LNG tanker in China exploded outside of a tunnel on one of China's highways. The explosion which occurred on the hunan-chang-ji highway killed a handful of people, and numerous motorists caught in the traffic jam, left their cars and started running away before the explosion.

This weekend I was watching the discovery channel and saw Fearless Felix B. go up in the redbull helium balloon to around 128,000 feet (24 miles) up and jump out of the space craft. Felix not only broke the sound barrier (going over 800mph), but he also nailed the landing!
