Samsung Parodies the Iphone in a commercial

Given that every single major city this week did stories about people lined up at Apple Stores waiting to shell out hundreds of dollars on the new iphone, I found this Samsung Parody commercial quite funny. The clip features dozens of people lining up outside of an apple store saying such things as: "The headphone jack is going to be on the bottom" "I heard the connector is going to be all digital... What does that even mean?" "All I'm saying is they should have a priority line for people that waited 5 times" And then a few Samsung cell phone owners walk by flaunting their phones that have had many of the iphone features for months---And you don't have to wait in line. (However, I think Apple's patent attorneys are trying to get an injunction to halt Samsung smart phone sales in the U.S.)

Engineering Failure Song - University of Toronto

During a September 2012, Engineering exam at the University of Toronto in Canada a few students broke the tension by singing "I'm an engineering failure" cover of living in a gangster's paradise... Even the prof's got into the act by playing the violin.

Cleveland Reporter Laughs at a Rhino's Fart

As Cleveland, Ohio's Fox affiliate was reporting from the Cleveland Zoo's Rhinoceros pen (which has a new baby rhino) during the morning news segment, the mama rhino starts farting and the reporter starts cutting a bunch of junior high quality fart commentary.

Anchorman wants to canoodle with the weather girl

This anchorman was a little confused after a news segment that featured a 70 year old lady using the term "canoodle" (which means fooling around)... As the anchor tosses it over to the weather girl, he says he wants to canoodle with her... She says, there will be no canoodling... Apparently the producer was in his ear explaining that canoodling doesn't mean talking.

Rick Santorum Lip Dub / Lip Sync video

The people at Bad Lip Reading (BLR) have a funny voice-over / lip-sync video of republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum. (We've got 69 tomatoe shoes / In between then, we'd surf / specialty gopher meat / I was so barf-tastic --- are just a few of the crazy lip-dubbing voice overs that Rick appears to be saying.

Anchor Woman - Pick a dick - Sausage Blooper

An anchor woman was reporting on a local sausage festival where she was going to be a judge, and when she was telling the viewers where they can get tickets, instead of saying "pick a tick", she has a freudian slip and says "pick a dick"... Her female co-anchor laughs at her mistake and quips that she must have sausage on the brain.

Celtics Start the game with a long snap.

During a recent Boston Celtics versus L.A. Lakers basketball game in Boston the Celtics started the game in very a strange way. After winning the tip-off, they long snap it backwards to the guard hanging out on the free throw line, he then hikes it behind himself and starts dribbling the ball upcourt to start the game. It really was a funny way to start the game and should have made ESPN's funny highlight reel for the week.

Colbert Super PAC ad attacks Mitt Romney

Stephen Colbert's Super PAC (A better tomorrow for America tomorrow), which is now run by Jon Stewart, has started airing advertisements in South Carolina. The PACs first ad attacks Mitt Romney and calls him "Mitt the ripper"... If you believe that corporations are people, and Mitt' experience at Bain Capital caused him to carve up companies (people) then vote for "Not Romney" in the coming election. I think it's funny, but the parody may be lost on most people.

Breckenridge Brewery Commercial

Craft Beer maker Breckenridge Brewery has a funny web-only commercial with the key point of "if you touch it and it's cold, then it's cold" concept. I'm guessing it's making fun of other beer companies that use color changing inks on their cans and labels.

Discount Double Check - Rodgers, Raji, Matthews

In light of the Green Bay Packers' great 2011-2012 season, the folks at State Farm Insurance have created a trilogy of great commercials. First there was Aaron Rodgers doing his "Discount Double-Check Dance" Next came defensive all star Raji breaking it down with a boom-box playing some music. And now line backer Clay Matthews has own commercial. It's good to see the insurance company getting this much play on the topic... Now I just want to see them work in the Lambeau leap into the next commercial.
