Stephen Colbert Super PAC commercial to vote for Herman Cain
Since Stephen Colbert can't get his name on the ballot, the SUPER PAC run by John Stewart is airing a commercial that is airing in South Carolina urging voters to vote for Herman Cain (Who has quit running) if they really want to vote for Stephen Colbert (who couldn't get his name on the ballot).
I think it will be interesting to see if Herman Cain starts polling in 3rd or 4th place for the republican primary.
The Onion News Network Premiers January 21
IFC is set to debut the Onion News Network (ONN) on January 21, 2011. Check your cable listings to see if you get the channel.
In this promo, Brook Alvarez and Tucker Hope talk about how nobody else should get into the news business, because they will be crushed. And about all of the awards that they've one (like 2nd place out of 3 competitors in a touch-screen news contest).
Are you going to be watching the show?
Obama is a Keynesian Video
During the October 2010 Rally to Restore Sanity Rally that Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert held, a fake news reporter went to Washington DC with a sign that said, "Obama is a Keynesian" sign...
Needless to say, many rally-goers were unaware that Keynesian is a type of economic thought (frequently at odds with the Austrian School). These people thought the sign holder was referencing Obama's Kenyan (African) heritage and were quick to point out that Barack was born in Hawaii.
Only one guy at the end of the video mentions economic policy in his answer... And the reporter jabs at a young voter's stance on prop 19, because he seemed like a stoner.
