TV reporter mixes up Snacks and Sex

WTAE anchor man Andrew Stockey was going about reading the news, when he got to a story about all the various fees that airlines charge their customers. They nickle and dime you for extra-leg room, $25 for the first bag,$35 for the second checked bag... And then came the Freudian slip---"And every airline charges you for sex... er, snacks".

That's quite an embarrassing slip of the tongue.

Tampa's Newscaster falls on a little skate boarder

This fat reporter from Fox 13 in Tampa is busy trying to talk to the "Wizard" at the local skate park when he decides it would be a good idea to walk into the middle of the half-pipe to conduct his interview. Unfortunately, there's about a dozen kids riding their skate boards on the ramp; and chuckles falls right on top of one of the kids crushing him.

To the reporter's credit he checks to see if the kid is OK (He had a bloody chin), and decides to conduct the rest of the Q&A from the outside of the half-pipe.

Fittingly, the wizard tells him that they stress safety at the ramp.

Woman falls during WSMV report

Jennifer Vickery of NBC's affiliate station WSMV in Nashville, TN was doing a local field report at the bridgestone arena when a woman in the background of the shot takes a stumble and falls down hard... And good ol' Ms. Vickery keeps on reporting her story.

Funny Headlines

Jay Leno on NBC has his regular TV bit every Monday about funny headlines and newspaper clips/photos that are ridiculously funny--Well here's a couple of news clips that are worthy of appearing on the Tonight Show.

"Statistics show that teen pregnancy drops off significantly after age 25..."

I would venture to say that it drops off by 100% by age 20.

This news story's headline is "Condom truck tips, spills load" and shows a fire-rescue worker watching a semi-trailer tilting over alongside the highway... I wonder if this story was actually printed in a real newspaper or if it appeared in a copy of "the Onion".

She's enjoying Penis a little bit more

ABC 26 in New Orleans, Louisiana has their news reporter Catherine Shreves reporting on her healthwatch segment about "a shot that can help women improve their sex-drive. She says the drug which costs $1,200 is safe, but doctors say that it's not for everybody, but it has worked for Susan who you met in the story. The shot lasts for between four and six months. and that's one Doctor's appointment that she's not going to miss because it worked for her"

After she's done with her report and it's time for the idle reporter chatter, her male co-anchor says, "So she's enjoying Penis a little bit more is she?"

This catches Shreves off guard, and she stammers to say, "uh... she's ... she is... enjoying her... ah... sex life a little more.... She and her husband..."

CNBC Anchor doesn't like the Ipad name

When Steve Jobs decided to launch Apple's new iPad, apparently he didn't see if CNBC's power-lunch anchor lady, Michelle Caruso Cabrera, liked the name.

During the news segment, Michelle is sure to mention that she doesn't like the name "iPad" because it reminds her of feminine product.

One of the show's guests even finds it interesting that Apple didn't yet purchase the domain name www.ipad.com
