KTLA's Weatherman Henry DiCarlo Throws a Fit on Air

KTLA weatherman Henry DiCarlo was doing a live segment from the L.A. Metro---It appears that he got upset at his producers for trying to incorporate an interview in the same segment. So Henry got mad and walked off the live interview. The Anchor man quipped if he'd like some cheese with that whine and tried to laugh it off.

KTLA's Allie MacKay Uses the Shake Weight

KTLA's news team does a hard hitting report on the shake-weight---A crazy exercise device that Saturday Night Live once spoofed. And the funny thing is the anchorman asks her (with a straight face)... "What do you like better? Do you like it fast or slow?" She answers that she likes to change it up.

They even bring up a South Park episode where a "cool down spray" comes out of the top of the shake-weight.

Another punchline from an older anchor is, "I've got a small white one, does that make a difference?"

The funny news team at KTLA in L.A. did a live shoot during May sweeps week in which Allie goes to the gym and uses the Shake Weight... The anchor's back in the studio get in on the fun---Somehow I think that they picked this goofy segment because of a spoof that Saturday Night Live did on the shake-weight bar-bell in which the women were using the exercise device quite suggestively.

Morning News Dance Party - KTLA style

When the local morning news team looks to have some fun and let loose at the end of the week, they frequently choose to go a little wild with Friday Dance Party.

The guys and gals at KTLA in LA, California (Sam, Cher, Frank and Michaela) were pleasantly surprised to have Richard Simmons (the diet guru) show up and help them kick it up a notch (Rockin' to the oldies style) They were busy dancing to Cool & the Gang's "Celebration".

At the Rose Bowl Parade, KTLA reporter wants nuts on her face

Watching the rose bowl parade is one of my favorite activities every January 1. Remarkably, every exterior component of every float has to be a flower or plant based. It takes volunteers weeks to construct the float.

Some KTLA anchor lady who was moderating the parade, must not have a dirty mind, because after seeing a float which had been decorated with nuts, she said, "I would like to have nuts on my face." That comment had to have every teenager in greater Southern California laughing their butts off.

Could she really be that naive?

Talk Soup pokes fun at KTLA reporter

Joel McHale on E!'s talk soup makes fun of a local KTLA reporter who is yabbering about at a local ski hill. The ski hill's snow machine is blowing out a lot of man-made snow and the the reporter is talking to an operator, "is it a good idea if I put my face in that snow-stream? It would probably get red."

She then says, "that's not a good idea"...

"but my face can get as red as your jacket..."

"um... my jacket is blue..."

The poor guy must have been color blind.

KTLA reporter gets a parking ticket on Live TV

KTLA's Gayle Anderson was in Santa Monica doing a live story on some fancy new cars when a police officer starts writing $50 parking tickets for all the TV station's cars that were parked there.

In response to this incident the police department put out the following press release:

On May 25, 2010, at 8:58 a.m., traffic officers from the Santa Monica Police Department received a call for service from the parking manager of the 1550 beach lot; Central Parking. The caller reported that several vehicles were in the parking lot refusing to pay.

Upon arrival, a Traffic Service Officer was advised by the attendant that eleven vehicles were parked in parking spots and had not paid. The attendant advised that his supervisor approached the news crew at 7:40 a.m. and advised them they needed to pay for the parking spots. The news crew promised to pay for the spaces before 9:00 a.m. When the attendant approached the news crew at 8:50 a.m. to pay for the parking spaces, they ignored him. The parking attendant contacted his supervisor to call the Santa Monica Police Department.

A Traffic Service Officer approached the news crew and advised them she was there to address the issue of not paying for the parking spaces. A representative from the news crew stated they had already paid for the spaces and had a permit. The traffic service officer asked the representative for the receipt and permits. The representative walked away and did not come back.

At 9:20 a.m., the traffic service officer issued four citations for failing to pay to the vehicles that were parked in parking spaces. Although the news reporter stated on the live television broadcast that they had paid for the parking spaces at the time the officer was issuing the citations, the news crew actually paid for the parking spaces at 9:40 a.m., after the citations were issued.

I'm waiting for LA to get their own "Parking Wars" TV show inline with Philly and Detroit.

KTLA interviews a Vampire Nut

When KTLA does a story on local government budgetary waste---They find a local resident who thinks that the city shouldn't spend thousands removing the plants from the sidewalk flower beds---because, "it's garlic, and since the city planted the garlic, we haven't seen any vampires."
