The Soup pokes fun at Good Day New York

During the soup's chat stew they make fun of 60 minute's interview with John Boehner--and his propensity to cry at the drop of a hat and also a quirky reporter at Good Day NY who appears to be just a little-too-happy and too quick to laugh.

Antoine Dodson's Christmas Video

Antoine Dodson's Chimney Intruder music remix video is his attempt to stretch out his 15 minute minutes of fame that occurred after his local news appearance about a home intruder got remixed and went viral.

Dodson's Christmas video features him dressed in a tank top and as santa claus... I think this may have appeared on the George Lopez show and on some local news puff-segments---I saw it on WGN's morning news.

WFSB Blooper - Weatherman Gets Blown Away

In this 1980's classic blooper, WFSB's weatherman, Hilton Kaderli gets blown back twenty feet from wind gusts that must be going 100 miles per hour.

This blustery / blizzard like weather is not uncommon at the top of Mt. Washington in New Hampshire (The live free or die state).

It's storms like that (and hurricanes) that make you wonder, "why on earth do news producers feel that we need to see people reporting in such dangerous conditions---they could just as easily (and more safely sit in the studio and tell us, 'it's windy outside'"

Soccer Lineman loses his Wig

In this sports blooper a football (Soccer) player kicks the ball and it hits the lineman in the head causing him to fall and lose his wig, revealing his bald head. The poor soccer referee lost his toupee and looked quite dinged up after the incident... But I'm guessing it hurt his pride and ego as much as it hurt his head.

30 Rock Bloopers

One of NBC's shows on Thursday night is 30 Rock. The show spoofs NBC and Saturday night live. Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin do a great job as Liz Lemon and Jack Donahey---And over the course of filming, there's bound to be a few snafus and shots that need to be retaken.

This 2 minute blooper reel has some of the funnier out-takes that actually gets the actors themselves laughing.

Home Shopping Blooper -- Host mixes up a butterfly and horse

This poor guy was having a ron burgandy moment while selling a camera and printer. He's holding up a big picture of a butterfly but is reading the teleprompter that says, look at that pretty horse, the hooves, the tail, the main... What's that? My producer is telling me it's a butterfly.

This is clearly a live TV blooper that even a 2 year old would be able to spot.

It's warm and wet in London...

This blooper reel has some real classic news mistakes.

"It's warm and wet in London, is Elizabeth Lang as well?" says a British TV host.

As well as a field reporter getting knocked down by a sheep in the pasture, only to get knocked down by the snarky morning host who says, "she always finds herself on her knees somewhere doesn't she?"

Improv Everywhere Goes Frozen in Grand Central Station

Hundreds of people in New York are members of Improv Everywhere, they all met up at Bryant park in order to get instructions on freezing in place in Grand Central station.

People who were just traveling that day must not have known what was going on. This is a pretty funny video that surely adds a bit of humor to any evening newscast.

Amazing Race Melon Blooper

During the 2010 season of the Amazing Race, Brook & Clair (the pink team) were participating in a challenge in England where they have to use a giant sling shot to shoot melons at suits of armor. Unfortunately, the medieval weapon backfired and hit Clair right in the face. The watermelon shattered on her forehead. But she ended up completing the task---And they eventually came in 2nd place in the overall race to the finish. (Which means they didn't get their million dollars).

Surprisingly her nose wasn't broken.

2011 Hooters Calendar Girls leave WGN anchor's tounge tied

Larry Potash and Paul Konrad have some fun when the Hooters girls visit WGN this December and push their 2011 bikini calendar.

WGN News Team Lip Sincs with Keenan Cahill

The WGN News team decided to parlay their recent viral video success of the bridge collapse blooper by lip dubbing a music video with Keenan Cahill. For those that don't know, Keenan is a nerdy looking kid who shot to youtube fame by making funny music shorts. Robin Baumgarten, Ana Belaval, Paul Konrad, Larry Potash, Pat Tomasulo and Valerie Warner sing Katy Perry's teenage dream with the goofy looking kid in this funny video.

One of Cahill's earlier music videos features a cameo by none other than 50 cent.

Minnesota Vikings Metrodome Roof Collapses Under Snow

This is amazing, even if it's not really a blooper. When Minnesota got hit by over a foot of heavy snow, the Viking's Metrodome roof collapsed under the weight. That's good because the NY Giants had trouble getting into town. The blizzard had them stuck in Kansas City for a while, and then it even pushed the game from Sunday to Monday night.

Now, it's a question of not only when they'll play the game---but where?

Update:

Fox Sports has video from inside the Metrodome when the roof collapsed and the snow came gushing in. Pam Oliver said that it would take to long to clear the snow off of a local college stadium in Minnesota; so the Vikings will be playing on Monday Night Football from Detroit's Ford Field (Home of the Lions). And according to the Detroit Free Press, the tickets will be given out for free on Monday Morning.

Marching Band Forms a Giant Football Player

During half-time at a game played at the University of Hawaii's football field the marching band does a pretty impressive display. They march in a formation that looks like a football player who runs a little bit and then kicks a field goal.

I must say, this is really one of the most creative things you'll see any sports reporter talking about.

Cars Sliding on an icy hill

Newscasters are likely to be doing a lot of stories in the next few weeks highlighting the snowy and icy driving conditions on the nations roadways. Weather you're in Michigan, New York or Boston a slick road, a hill and a 2 wheel drive vehicle is almost guaranteed to cause accidents.

San Diego Morning Anchor sucks at Turkey Calling

Scott Paulson was on the San Diego morning news team's telecast when they bring out a Turkey caller that quacks when you shake it. Then he hands it to the lady morning host, who proceeds to inappropriately suck it and shake --as if it's something else.

KPRC's Dominique Sachse doesn't want a facial

KPRC in Houston, Texas was wrapping up its sports report on a basketball game by showing a clip of a player throwing down a monster slam dunk, and the play-by-play announcer's voiceover says, "he throws it down hard right in his face... That's what you call a facial."

Then anchorwoman Dominique Sachse nervously chuckles and says, "ha ha ha... never had one of those, don't think I want one."

I'm not sure if she was talking about the innuendo, or about getting dunked on. Based on her sheepish laughter, I'm guessing that her mind was in the gutter.
